: I assume that you know how to do dual-channel memory, but just in case: The

: channel?

Yeah, matched pairs of cards. Two different brands, and neither was stable when interleaved. This appears to be a problem with various Giga-Byte boards, from what I've been seeing in forums. The thing that really sucks is it's automatic. I can't disable interleaving and use all four sticks. Oh well, if I build an i7 system some day, I'll have 8GB of DDR3 ready.

: I had a similar problem initially with my netbook, but found a kext at
: http://www.kexts.com/ that remedied the problem. It was specific to my
: machine though; I don't know if there is one that will help you.

I haven't found one yet. This board can't boot from a USB device, and has no BIOS setting for wake by USB, so I doubt it supports it.
