That's actually a point I didn't really think of that just makes Apple's rental pricing seem all the more unreasonable... I'm the rare exception, one who finds the experience of watching a movie at home to be vastly superior to watching it on "the big screen". For most people I think the choice if watching a movie a month after it comes out on DVD at home for $4 seems a little ridiculous when you can go to any number of theaters and watch a movie a month before it comes out on DVD for $3 on the big screen. Seriously, older titles should be $1 ($2 in HD), and newer titles should be $2 ($3 in HD). That would at least be a tempting offer.

Of course the blame for this unreasonable pricing probably does not have much to do with Apple, and in fact has more to do with the movie studios.
