I thought I read a while back (maybe Feb or March) that they were pretty much making them on a per-order basis. Which makes sense b/c I doubt there is a huge demand for a $1500 keyboard.
It's a great idea, but until the day comes when they can bring that cost down to a few hundred $, I don't think they're gonna sell many. Maybe it'd be cheaper (and more energy efficient) to do it with something like e-paper instead of little OLED displays.
