In Response To: Pics from Leopard's MS city launch. hehehe (J242)

I've been running it for 2 and a half days now...

The first thing I did after getting it installed was open terminal and type

defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES
killall dock

That made things drastically better. Now if I could just figure out how to kill translucency in the menu bar. I've gotten it pretty close by changing my desktop pic... But that's a cheat. I want it completely gone.

So far the only problem I have had is that the TeX front-end I use doesn't seem to be compatible. So, I've been using TeX from the command line, which works well enough.

All the problems I had with the Safari beta are solved, and the entire machine feels a lot faster. Quick Look is singularly the most useful new feature in Leopard. I have to say, so far, I'm impressed overall.
