Yes, that's all well and good and as a direct response would have been perfectly acceptable if the question hadn't been about how FCP would handle DV footage encoded with a somewhat more proprietary HD/AVC/H.264 codec being sold as a pro camera. The response I was given was cut and paste and when you are going through "pro" channels, you expect a little bit more.

Huh, I guess the MBU unit isn't all that "up to par" when it comes to their feedback then? So far in the beta I haven't had any problems with support on issues. Email me and let me know the problems you're having (if they are related to the beta we are on) and I'll see what the deal is for you.
See, my thought is how we are running the "Windows Core" betas. We reply to EVERY issue submitted with a direct response and our post-RTM guidelines dictate the same. Granted this is only for Windows core but maybe my division is a fluke in comparison to the rest...
