I'm not looking for any arguements especially amongst those I enjoy speaking with commonly. The films mentioned had serious flaws and I'd be nothing but a fan-boy if I were to say otherwise. I was just able to gloss that over and enjoy myself enough for the flaws to not ruin my opinion of the films on the whole.

Arguing over one's opinion on a film (unless EXTREME to the point of saying something like Ed Wood was the most brilliant and revolutionary director ever) is pretty much simply retarded as its all opinion which is based on one's personal expectations for a film. One example I can think of is that I know a ton of people who hated King Kong and while I can see eye to eye with them on the points that bothered them, they weren't enough to make me dislike the film. My enjoyment of it outweighed my problems with it.

You know what I mean, I'm sure. :)
