Not sure I can ride with that misogynistic sentiment. Women are not any more inherently retarded than men, though personally I think most of humanity is retarded. Much of the entertainment geared towards women is indeed retarded, but the same is true of much of the entertainment geared toward men.

Most of the time I'm terrible about getting a movie that my GF is more interested in then I am. I usually put my own interests first, and only acquire movies for her if she specifically asks me to. But sometimes we watch the "Nothing But Trailers" HDTV show (just a half hour of various trailers in HD), and of the movies she shows an interest in (which I wasn't already interested in) I pick and choose and acquire the ones that looked like they could be mildly enjoyable. This one was a bad call on my part, as it was not even mildly enjoyable. Click! and My Super ExGirlfriend OTOH I thought were indeed mildly enjoyable.
To be fair, most of the time it seems as though our cinematic interests tend to coincide (e.g. The Fountain). Of course, it's possible that sometimes it may be made to seem this way for my benefit. :)
