I think I've come up with a great strategy. I watch a serious movie when I begin drinking and then I'll be more accepting of the mindless movie afterwards (hey, it worked for My Super Ex-Girlfriend!) I just watched Click! and found it to be another mindless but enjoyable movie (being unemployed rocks!) For the first half of the movie I was bored, couldn't suspend my disbelief and found it to be predictable and boring. Then I realized this was a modernization of "It's a Wonderful Life." Whenever I start watching that movie I loathe it, but by then end my Ebenezer heart is warmed and I feel good. Basically what happened with this movie. Again, like My Super Ex-Girlfriend, not an actual real honest-to-god good movie... But worth watching once, it was kind of fun.
