: The GameCube supported 480p and widescreen, if you bought an
: imported component cable that Nintendo only sold in Japan
I ordered mine directly from NOA
: , but few
: developers made widescreen an option (later Tony Hawk games and Lego Star
: Wars 2 are the only ones I have that have this) and even fewer supported
: progressive scan.
Not that my game library is necessarily proportional to the whole game market, but almost 3/4 of my games support Pro-Scan, but very very few of them support widescreen.
: It's not like it will be a deal-breaker if Nintendo hosed us again. I'll
: still buy a Wii eventually. I'd just like to see them do something to keep
: developers from being assholes, and force them to get up to speed with
: display technology.
Yeah, I'll be buying one as soon as they become available again. It would be awfully nice if more games didn't have to be stretched or zoomed to take up the whole screen.
