First, the link leads to a page chastising you for linking directly to their FAQ pages. Second, supporting something and requiring it are two different things. The GameCube supported 480p and widescreen, if you bought an imported component cable that Nintendo only sold in Japan, but few developers made widescreen an option (later Tony Hawk games and Lego Star Wars 2 are the only ones I have that have this) and even fewer supported progressive scan.

It's not like it will be a deal-breaker if Nintendo hosed us again. I'll still buy a Wii eventually. I'd just like to see them do something to keep developers from being assholes, and force them to get up to speed with display technology.
