In Response To: I should be getting one too (Zach)

: For reasons I can't legally go into, I'm trading up my MBP for the new one.

This is very nebulous... :)

: Should happen this week.
: What made you finally decide to get one?

Well, I have been planning to buy one for the better part of a year, but I have a policy about always buying Macs immediately after they are revised, so that I can either get a deal on the last generation or I can get the most computer possible.

For a while the Mac Pro had me a bit unsure which way to go, but after further thought I came to the conclusion that a MBP was fast enough for anything I do (and that says a lot, I am not a low end user), and that given the choice I prefer portability.

Anyhow, I'm typing this post on it now. I just got it home and out of the box, so I haven't really had a chance to do anything with it yet, but so far it's great!
